Lisa Vanderpump Sued Over Luxury Dogwear

HollywoodReporter.com:
Real Housewives star Lisa Vanderpump is in a legal dogfight over a luxury pet clothing line and her Pomeranian Giggy's Instagram account.

Fifi & Romero Boutique owner Yana Syrkin is suing Vanderpump, and her husband, Ken Todd, for allegedly failing to give her brand promised credit in social media posts and using her designs to launch a competing petwear line.

Syrkin says she met the couple at an American Humane Association event in 2012 and they asked about having a custom outfit made for Giggy. Later, they proposed that she create custom outfits for the pooch and only charge them the manufacturing costs in exchange for their promotion of her brand.

Giggy, whose full name is Gigolo and who has his own website, became famous among reality TV fans by appearing in both Housewives and the spinoff Vanderpump Rules.

Over the course of the next two years Giggy would appear on TV, in magazines and across social media in Fifi & Romero clothes and Vanderpump would credit the doggy designer.

Their business relationship escalated in 2015 when they launched a partnership to sell luxury pet clothing under the label Fifi & Romero for Vanderpump Pets, according to the complaint. (The lawsuit notes that agreement is currently the subject of a private arbitration.)
