Dorinda Medley Remembers Her Late Husband Richard with a Sweet Moment from Their Wedding Day

BravoTV.com:
Dorinda Medley gave Real Housewives of New York City fans an intimate look into her relationship with her late husband, Richard Medley, in Wednesday night's episode. The RHONY mom honored Richard with a memorial five years after his death in 2011 with her mom, dad, sister, daughter Hannah Lynch, and Carole Radziwill

Dorinda continued to reminisce about Richard on Instagram, sharing photos from her wedding day, as well as a photo of herself and her late husband with Hillary Clinton. Richard long had ties to Washington, serving as Chief Economist for the House Banking Committee and Chief of Staff for the Democratic leadership in the U.S. Senate under Robert Byrd and as the head speechwriter for Geraldine Ferraro's vice presidential campaign during the 1984 election, according to his obituary in The Berkshire Eagle. "Can't believe it's been 5 years," Dorinda captioned the photo on Instagram. "Sad and beautiful."

Dorinda and Richard wed on October 15, 2005 with a ceremony at the Brick Church sanctuary and a reception at the Four Seasons, New York Weddings detailed at the time. The restaurant was transformed into something of an aquarium with multicolored koi in glass bowls as centerpieces and acrylic tables with small streams running between them. Guests also got to indulge in the most delish-looking and gorgeous chocolate wedding cake. The self-described "1950s couple" had women dressed as cigarette girls and candy stripers stroll among the tables to give the night "an element of performance art," Dorinda told New York Weddings.

Dorinda and her family remembered Richard's incredible generosity and intelligence on RHONY. "I appreciate the life I had with Richard. It was a moment in time, and it served me very well, and now this is another chapter," Dorinda said during the episode. "I'm happy to say without guilt that I'm happy five years on."
